Hi :)

I hope someone can help me...I'm 34, a mum and I have been using MD Formulations for a long time...I noticed my skin was turning reddish around my chin area, and I had little lumps and bumps also, some pimples but nothing serious...just the lumpy, bumpy things and what looks to be blackheads :(

I decided to give the glycolic acid a rest and went onto Alpha H, it seems this has only made things worse...I have open pores at the temples, over the nose area and onto the cheeks, and on the top lip!  And Oh my!!! The lumps and bumps are worse now than ever, they've spread to my entire jawline and onto my throat.

The lumps aren't pimples, just little tiny bumps kind of beneath the skin...when I pull my chin taut it looks like I have the chin of a 90 year old lady, it's shiny also. It looks as though I've got tonnes of little blackheads all over my jaw and chin :(

Is this hormonal? Is this some kind of a skin condition? What do I use or do?  It's very distressing...I've now stopped using anything! I'm just cleansing with my MD Formulations...any suggestions?

Thx.

Hi
your best bet is to stop using current products and use something else for a while. Also, take bottles of what you were using to your GP as they may be able to identify ingrediants that may be causing the reaction.
Try using something uncomplicated like a tee tree based cleaser for now and a toner of witch hazel to help with the open pores and black head things.
Also make sure you are drinking plenty of water.

Hi Becoming,

I agree with Leena, stop taking the current products. It is obvious you are having a reaction. Drinking water is good, but you need ph balance as well. Your skin is on the surface, but how your skin looks is a direct reflection of what is going on beneath the surface, inside your body. Eat a good balance of fruits with dark green vegatables. Don't over do it on the acidic fruits such as strawberries, oranges, tomatoes. Too much acid can make your skin dry and flaky. I also recommend using all natural products, but always read the labels before taking anything because there is a possibilty that you could be allergic to natural compounds and elements as well.

Hi, I have you been to the Doctor to see if you have rosacea.  I have this problem and it leaves my forehead, across my nose and on my chain very red and it can also come up with pimply sort of things.  Last year I had to go on antibiotics twice for three months at a time for this condition.
