Are you a Doctor who believes in therapy with natural hormones? In particular:
- Natural Progesterone
- Natural Testosterone
- DHEA
- Biest
- Triest
- Estriol
We are currently trying to put together a list of prescribing doctors, and would love to include you on our list.
We have many customers who come to us, asking "Can you please recommend a doctor in my area who believes in natural hormone therapy?" Unfortunately many doctors are either uninformed or unwilling to try the natural hormones.
If you would like to be included on our list, please either email me at justin.levine@mjhealthandbeauty.com.au or post your details here in the MJ Forums. Alternatively, you are welcome to give Mike (the pharmacist) a call on 1300 66 90 45 (9:00am-5:30pm AEST).
Regards,
Justin Levine

Did you have any luck finding Doctors, most of them dont know what you are talking about, and as soon as you tell them about John Lee and they find out he is an Amercian, they are not interested.
Thanks Christine

Hi Christine -
I'm sorry to hear you didn't have much luck with finding a doctor who was prepared to consider prescribing natural hormone creams. Especially considering the positive feedback we have been receiving from our customers all around Australia.
I understand you have found a doctor in the end - that's good news! For other people looking for a doctor we have quite a few doctors on our own personal list that we have been compiling over the last few years. If you tell us where you are we might be able to suggest a doctor near you. Though I suggest you email me instead of posting here - justin.levine@mjhealthandbeauty.com.au
Sincerely
Justin

Hi Justin,
I have just registered and am wondering whether you have a list of 'hormone-friendly doctors' listed? I know it is an old message so I guess you would have by now!

Mary -
The list of doctors who will prescribe natural hormone creams is changing all the time. Generally what we do is get you to tell us where abouts you are living, and then suggest a doctor in the area.
Regards
Justin

Hi Justin
This is so strange. I actually wanted to ask if you can possibly recommend a progesterone-friendly dr in the sth eastern suburbs of Melb because Í've just had a bad week. I have fibroids, had a myomectomy six weeks ago but my gyneacologist says they're going to return but I'm not ready for a hysterectomy. So I did research and found out about progesterone cream, which is not to prevent fibroids but to reduce the symptoms of my hormonal imbalance. Well, I read all the comments on your forum so I went to my dr (with whom i've had a wonderful relationship with) to get my hormone levels measured. I explained about my research and it got a bit heated because she didn't see any future in this and sees it as bogus but she is happy to prescribe me antidepressants. But she went ahead with the blood test because I persuaded her that I was aware it wasn't a cure for fibroids but just for the symptoms as I had had years of anxiety, mood swings etc and I had some pretty serious fibroids, sixteen at last count from the surgery.
I know this is a bit of a saga but my point is when I mentioned your website and how I needed a prescription, she showed me that on her computer that the prescriptions for progesterone cream (two dosage levels - 3.2% and 10%) were only applicable in Western Australia.
I'm getting the results next week. Do you have any suggestions? I just think I should at least try the progesterone cream but my doctor who really supported me over the years particularly in recent months with this operation is so opposed to this. What can I do? Do I just troll doctors randomly? And is its precription prohibited in Victoria? What's going on with that?

Cheers

Hello,
Could you please tell me of any "hormone-friendly" doctors in the Wollongong area? Just spoke to a Gynie who told me progesterone is the "baddy" not a goody.??
Thanks, M

Hi there,
I have since found a 'hormone friendly' doctor and have been using bio-identical progesterone cream for two months now. Great results! Will see how I go over time, but in conjunction with the vitamins and minerals she also recommended, I feel like I am on the right track. I only wish more doctors embraced this.

Hi Eve51,
I live in Shellharbour. I went to see one of the naturopaths listed below. You can also book in to see Dr Cabot, but you need to wait a while. The naturopath can recommend the bio-identical hormones if you need them, but Dr Cabot needs to prescribe them. There is a compounding chemist in Appin. The Clinic will tell you that before you go, you must see your doctor and ask for a blood test called a hormone profile. I would ask the Holistic Clinic for the list of hormones that they need tested because my GP (and many others) just don't have a good understanding of the issue. I think mine forgot to test testosterone or something.
You will get suggestions of good nutritional support and supplements if you need them. (Even though they say "Weight Loss", they do alot of work in the hormone area.)
DR CABOT HOLISTIC CLINIC
