I have been using Rogaine Extra Strength for about three months now, and have noticed an increase in my libido (actually my partner has noticed!) Is this a normal "side effect" of using Rogaine?

Hi Mark -

That's an interesting one! In the literature provided by the Rogaine company, there is nothing mentioning this side effect. Furthermore, I'm intrigued as to whether there is a link between the two.

Perhaps you have given me a new marketing angle!

I have been using the 5% lotion for a few weeks now. Initially I felt a tingling sensation in my scalp as stated in the accompanying material. However the sensation hasn't gone away. In fact, when I apply it now I find that it almost burns my scalp. Am I doing something wrong? Could it be that my hair wax is reacting with the Rogaine?

Hi Jason -

I suggest that you stop using the Rogaine immediately, and give your scalp a rest. You may be able to try again later (just check the expiry on the bottle when you dig it up next time, as the Rogaine tends to have a short shelf-life).

I tried Rogaine for two months and noticed increased erectile dysfunction, together with loss of libido !!!.The information about the product mentions the possibility of this.

I've noticed that after using Rogaine Extra Strength, I occasionally (randomly) get an all over body itching sensation, which is annoying. I have never gotten this feeling before, and I'm convinced its the Rogaine as its the only significant factor that had changed in my life. However, I am willing to put up with this, because...

on the plus side, the Rogaine is working! I've used it for just over 1.5 months now, and have already noticed positive changes. 2.5 months to go!
